The Anilox-Strip enables you to make a copy of the surface structure of your Anilox by pressing a soft metal foil onto the surface of your roll.
This detailed fingerprint has all the details of the engraved surface structure and can be analysed with a microscope in the same way as the roller itself.
The Anilox-Strip consists of a self-adhesive tape bearing a metal foil below the measuring window in the middle of the tape. For the protection of the soft metal there is a white Mylar film on the top of the metal foil. In order to obtain a good fingerprint a special impression tool is required.
The biggest advantage of the Anilox-Strip is, that it is possible to make a fingerprint of a roller in the press room or at any other place.
The Anilox-Strip-fingerprints of a roll can be analysed with laboratory microscopes and Interferometry at Zecher. Our microscopes allow accurate measurement of cell geometry, screen count and evaluation of the engraving.
In addition to the measuring opportunities these microscopes provide high resolution images for documentation. Magnification up to 1000x can visualize any detail even of the finest engravings.
Interferometry marks the top end of volume measurement and enables us to measure cell volume precisely even from a small Anilox-Strip-fingerprint.
The Anilox-Strip method often helps to avoid sending in a roll for inspection to the manufacturer and saves therefore time and money.
